\" width=\"100%\" title=\"Why Do Physicians Fail to Focus on Their Personal Finances? \" srcset=\"https:\/\/medicalmanage.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/images_doctors-blog-july.jpg 720w, https:\/\/medicalmanage.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/images_doctors-blog-july-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/medicalmanage.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/images_doctors-blog-july-585x390.jpg 585w, https:\/\/medicalmanage.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/images_doctors-blog-july-263x175.jpg 263w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Doctors hate to admit they don\u2019t know<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Doctors hate to admit that they don\u2019t know something, whether that is clinically or otherwise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It\u2019s presented to them as a sign of weakness.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In reality, when doctors admit that they needed help, it\u2019s a sign of a personal and professional confidence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>But, this does project onto personal finance as well. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They don\u2019t like to admit that they don\u2019t understand investing so they don\u2019t talk about it.<\/p>\n<p>Or worse, they listen to whoever is talking about it the loudest without having any real idea what they are talking about.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theye don\u2019t have a lot of time<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This one is pretty valid.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Their time in training and beyond is limited. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Doctors want and need to focus primarily on learning medicine and being the best doctor that they can be.<\/p>\n<p><strong>But, if they just develop and practice simple habits, like reading one financial blog post a day, they can learn the 20 percent about personal finance that they need to get 80 percent of the results.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They can also accelerate their progress through&nbsp;coaching&nbsp;or investing in themselves through courses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So, how can physicians break this cycle?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After all of this philosophical debate, doctors need some actionable steps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The first key is recognizing this blind spot in their life and education. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You are reading this so you have accomplished this critical first step that so many physicians do not.<\/p>\n<p>Congrats!<\/p>\n<p><strong>That\u2019s on a global scale.
