The difficult part is to pick one solution where the positive outcome can outweigh possible losses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">Avoiding decisions often seems easier. Identify the purpose of your decision.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">What is exactly the problem to be solved? Why it should be solved?<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>2. Gather information.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">What factors does the problem involve?<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>3. Identify the principles to judge the alternatives.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">What standards and judgement criteria should the solution meet?<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>4. Brainstorm and list different possible choices.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">Generate ideas for possible solutions. this maybe done in a group &#8211; or take some space and time in a quite place and brainstorm with yourself..<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>5. Evaluate each choice in terms of its consequences.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">Use your standards and judgement criteria to determine the cons and pros of each alternative.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>6. Determine the best alternative.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">This is much easier after you go through the above steps.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>7. Put the decision into action.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">Transform your decision into specific plan of action steps. Execute your plan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\"><strong>8. Evaluate the outcome of your decision and action steps.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">What lessons can be learnt? This is an important step for further development of your decision making skills and judgement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article_css\">In everyday life we often have to make decisions fast &#8211; without enough time to go through the above action and thinking steps.
